dc.descriptionDiabetes mellitus is a chronic non-communicable disease that constitutes a public health problem with serious consequences on the adaptation of the individual, family and social environment. The present work will be carried out in order to investigate the importance of nursing care in patients with diabetes mellitus, the following objective is proposed: Know the importance of nursing care in diabetic patients, with respect to the methodology used during the research, it was developed under a bibliographic review, in which the research methodology was used through websites that favor current and permanent data, to expand knowledge. The results obtained are based on knowledge about the generalities of diabetes mellitus, focusing on its symptoms, etiology, diagnosis, treatment and nursing care. It is concluded that: The research carried out allowed us to deepen our knowledge of diabetes mellitus, addressing its fundamental aspects such as etiology, symptoms and treatment options. Likewise, the design of a study focused on nursing care highlighted the importance of the role of health personnel in the comprehensive care of diabetic patients and it was also evident that constant monitoring, patient education and the promotion of healthy habits are essential pillars in the control of the disease and the prevention of complications.
dc.description.abstractLa diabetes mellitus es una enfermedad crónica no transmisible que constituye un problema de salud pública con graves consecuencias en la adaptación del individuo, familia y entorno social. El presente trabajo se realizará con el fin de investigar la importancia de los cuidados de enfermería en pacientes con diabetes mellitus, se plantea el siguiente objetivo: Conocer la importancia de los cuidados de enfermería en pacientes diabéticos, con respecto a la metodología utilizada durante la investigación se desarrolló bajo una revisión bibliográfica, en la cual se utilizó la metodología investigativa a través de sitios web que favorecen datos actuales y permanentes, para ampliar conocimientos. Los resultados obtenidos se basan en el conocimiento sobre las generalidades de la diabetes mellitus, enfocándose en sus síntomas, etiología, diagnóstico, tratamiento y cuidados de enfermería. Se concluye que: La investigación realizada permitió profundizar en el conocimiento de la diabetes mellitus, abordando sus aspectos fundamentales como la etiología, los síntomas y las opciones de tratamiento. Asimismo, el diseño de un estudio enfocado en los cuidados de enfermería destacó la importancia del rol del personal de salud en la atención integral de los pacientes diabéticos y también se evidenció que el monitoreo constante, la educación al paciente y la promoción de hábitos saludables son pilares esenciales en el control de la enfermedad y en la prevención de complicaciones
