Abstract
Description
This academic article analyzed the impact of exogenous factors and lifestyle on the development of alopecia in young people between 18 and 24 years of age. At the theoretical level, it explained how stress, sleep disorders, and poor nutrition cause oxidative stress and interrupt the hair follicle cycle prematurely. Methodologically, it combined a systematic literature review of current scientific studies with a longitudinal clinical case study of a 24-year-old male patient. The patient was diagnosed with male androgenetic alopecia grade II/III on the Hamilton-Norwood scale with frontoparietal involvement, where biological inheritance from the father's side was worsened by exogenous factors and disorders in his daily routine, while excess sebum alterations were ruled out. The therapeutic action plan applied 7 microneedling (Dermapen) sessions with polyrevitalizing active ingredients in the clinic, complemented by a home care plan based on a mild chamomile shampoo to protect the sensitivity of the skin barrier. The results showed a highly favorable clinical improvement by stopping hair loss, reactivating hair growth, and visibly improving hair density. It is concluded that the success and sustainability of aesthetic therapies in the young population necessarily depend on combining professional biostimulation with a deep restructuring of the patient's daily habits.
