dc.descriptionHuman Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) remains a public health problem affecting the quality of life of millions of people worldwide. The objective of this literature review was to analyze the main nursing interventions applied to patients with HIV and their impact on treatment adherence, self-care, and overall well-being. The research was conducted through an integrative literature review with a documentary and descriptive approach. A systematic search was performed in scientific databases such as PubMed, SciELO, Redalyc, and Google Scholar, selecting 18 studies that met the established criteria. The results showed that nursing interventions focused on health education, emotional support, strengthening self-care, and therapeutic monitoring promote adherence to antiretroviral treatment and improve patients' quality of life. Furthermore, it was identified that humanized care, effective communication, and psychosocial support contribute to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of people living with HIV. It is concluded that the nursing professional plays a fundamental role in the comprehensive care of the patient, promoting care based on scientific evidence and respect for human dignity.
dc.description.abstractEl Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH) continúa siendo un problema de salud pública que afecta la calidad de vida de millones de personas en el mundo. El objetivo de esta revisión de literatura fue analizar las principales intervenciones de enfermería aplicadas en pacientes con VIH y su impacto en la adherencia terapéutica, el autocuidado y el bienestar integral. La investigación se desarrolló mediante una revisión integrativa de literatura con enfoque documental y descriptivo. Se realizó una búsqueda sistemática en bases de datos científicas como PubMed, SciELO, Redalyc y Google Scholar, seleccionándose 18 estudios que cumplieron los criterios establecidos. Los resultados evidenciaron que las intervenciones de enfermería centradas en la educación para la salud, el acompañamiento emocional, el fortalecimiento del autocuidado y el seguimiento terapéutico favorecen la adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral y mejoran la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Asimismo, se identificó que el cuidado humanizado, la comunicación efectiva y el apoyo psicosocial contribuyen al bienestar físico, emocional y social de las personas que viven con VIH. Se concluye que el profesional de enfermería desempeña un papel fundamental en la atención integral del paciente, promoviendo cuidados basados en la evidencia científica y en el respeto a la dignidad humana.
