Abstract
En las enfermedades respiratorias se presentan alteraciones a los conductos que transportan
el oxígeno y otros gases dentro y fuera de los pulmones lo que produce cambios a nivel del
aparato respiratorio. En esta revisión hablaremos de como el eucalipto que es una planta
medicinal del género Eucalyptus, complementa el tratamiento del Covid-19.
Diferentes tratamientos terapéuticos mejoran afecciones respiratorias, pero sabemos que el
eucalipto es un método reconocido, que a través de la investigación que estamos realizando
podemos definir el empleo del eucalipto para prevenir enfermedades respiratorias. Se realizó
un estudio básico, no experimental, documental y de campo, que consistió en una revisión
bibliográfica no sistemática que incluyó documentos publicados en bases de datos regionales
(Latindex, Scielo, Redalyc y Lilac) y de alto impacto (Scopus, Medline, PubMed e Ici Web
of Sciencie). El universo estuvo constituido por 33 documentos de ellos cuales 12 formaron
parte de la muestra de investigación, como principales resultados se describen las afecciones
respiratorias que se presentan en el aparato respiratorio; así como las ventajas y efectos de
intervenciones basadas en el uso del eucalipto para mejorar sus síntomas. Se concluye que
las evidencias científicas muestran que el eucalipto es un tratamiento eficaz para potenciar el
aparato respiratorio y que además lo resultados más óptimos se logran cuando las
intervenciones se realizan de forma preventiva.

Eucalyptus in respiratory diseases presents alterations to the ducts that transport oxygen and
other gases in and out of the lungs that alter the respiratory system. In this review we will
talk about how eucalyptus, a medicinal plant of the Eucalyptus genus, complements the
treatment of Covid-19. Different therapeutic treatments improve respiratory conditions;
eucalyptus is a method recognized for promoting beneficial effects. The objective of the
research is to socialize the results of interventions with the use of eucalyptus to prevent
prostate diseases. A basic, non-experimental, documentary and field study was carried out,
consisting of a non-systematic bibliographic review that included documents published in

regional databases (Latindex, Scielo, Redalyc and Lilac) and high impact databases (Scopus,
Medline, PubMed and Ici Web of Science). The universe consisted of 33 documents, of
which 12 were part of the research sample. The main results describe the respiratory
conditions that occur in the respiratory system; as well as the advantages and effects of
interventions based on the use of eucalyptus to improve your respiratory system. It is
concluded that scientific evidence shows that eucalyptus is an effective treatment to enhance
the respiratory system. Optimal results are achieved when interventions are carried out
preventively.
