Abstract
El acné es una enfermedad inflamatoria que afecta al 85 % de la población a nivel
mundial. Comienza con la presencia de comedones abiertos y/o cerrados a los que
les siguen lesiones inflamatorias del tipo pápulas, pústulas y nódulos. Esta patología
se manifiesta en tempranas edades, en la adolescencia, con un impacto físico y
emocional considerable ya que afecta la imagen física y la autoestima de quien la
padece. La finalidad de esta investigación fue crear un producto para corroborar la
eficacia de un gel a base de flor de hibisco, a través de un estudio de campo con
pacientes con problemas dermatológicos. Se hizo una breve investigación de la flor
de jamaica donde se indagó las propiedades y el efecto de la fibronectina en la piel.
Se hizo un análisis de los resultados en pacientes con acné leve o grado I, acné
moderado o grado II y acné grave o grado III, confirmando la disminución de
pápulas, pústulas, nódulos y la despigmentación en heridas y manchas en un tiempo
de 15 días a un mes. Así, se pudo concluir que el gel de Hibiscus sabdariffa es
beneficioso para tratar problemas de acné, cicatrización y la despigmentación de
heridas y manchas en la piel siendo una excelente alternativa en el ámbito
terapéutico dermatológico.
Description
Acne is an inflammatory disease that affects 85% of the population worldwide. It
begins with the presence of open and/or closed pimples, which are followed by
inflammatory lesions such as papules, pustules and nodules. This pathology
manifests itself at an early age, in adolescence, with a considerable physical and
emotional impact since it affects the physical image and self-esteem of those who
suffer from it. The purpose of this research was to create a product to corroborate
the effectiveness of a gel based on hibiscus flower, through a field study with patients
with dermatological problems. A brief investigation was carried out on the hibiscus
flower where the properties and effect of fibronectin on the skin were investigated.
An analysis of the results was carried out in patients with mild or grade I acne,
moderate or grade II acne and severe or grade III acne, confirming the decrease in
papules, pustules, nodules and depigmentation in wounds and spots in a period of
15 days. to a month. Thus, it was concluded that Hibiscus sabdariffa gel is beneficial
for treating acne problems, scarring and the depigmentation of wounds and spots on
the skin, being an excellent alternative in the dermatological therapeutic field.
